No se incluyen las licencias de artistas, existentes hasta 2004.
En el año 2005 se produjeron cambios importantes en las fuentes que elaboran el Censo del IAE que afectan a la homogeneidad de la serie. Estos cambios provocaron un incremento en torno al
20% de las licencias empresariales y una caída en torno al 80% de las licencias de profesionales.
En el año 2022 se produjo un importante descenso de licencias de actividades inmobiliarias, que afecta a la rama de actividad 13. Actividades profesionales,
científicas y administrativas, motivado por un cambio de criterio en la interpretación de las obligaciones vinculadas a los arrendamientos de inmuebles con valor catastral inferior a 601.010 euros.
