Las tasas brutas municipales y comarcales correspondientes al MNP (natalidad, nupcialidad, mortalidad y saldo vegetativo) han sido calculadas promediando, para cada año, el número de sucesos acaecidos durante dos años consecutivos. La utilización de este método tiene como fin suavizar el efecto que pueden ocasionar determinados acontecimientos coyunturales, en los que la contabilización anual puede provocar oscilaciones bruscas que ocultan la verdadera tendencia de la variable.
